He shrugged once more. “So you’d deny the food?”

He thought about it for a second. “Welll….no. BUT I WOULD STILL WANNA GO.”

With a sigh and a laugh, he retorted, “Then come along! Before the stores close!”

He exited the house once more, going over to America’s car.

America followed him, jumping into the driver’s seat of his car.

England got into the passenger’s, shutting the door and buckling his seat belt.

“What markets are around here anyway?”

Alfred started driving in the direction of the grocery store. “Just a whole bunch of supermarkets.”

England nodded, looking out the window.

“It’s so compacted in New York, I can’t see the need for having so many.”

America shrugged. “Oh well.”

Watching the surroundings outside of the window, something caught Arthur’s eye.

A few streets down, entire roads were block, filled with bunches of people.

“Is there a protest going on?”

America looked to where Arthur was looking. “Yeah. Occupy Wall Street. It’s about the economy and jobs and stuff.”

Arthur sighed a bit.

“I see. The economy has sure taken a southward turn lately….”

“I knew you would have to.” For the severalith time that day, he allowed himself to smile.

He was sure smiling a lot lately.

Adjusting his position on the couch to better face Alfred, he asked, “So would asking for dinner be a bit too much? I was afraid to get anything on the plane since the hostess looked sick.”

“Not at all! I got you some McDonald’s, but…you were late and I didn’t want it to get cold so I kinda ate it.” He laughed weakly.

He shrugged it off. “That’s no problem, I’ll just go rifle through your fridge then if that’s alright.”

“If you want to that’s fine.” He wasn’t exactly sure how much food he had in there, not being able to sit in front of a TV for that long without eating a ton.

England got up, going into the kitchen, pulling out random items.

America’s stomach grumbled a bit. “….HOW MUCH STUFF IS IN THERE. CAN I HAVE SOME TOO.”

After successfully emptying the contents of the kitchen, he realized how much food the American didn’t have.

In front of him all there lay was a loaf of bread, a four day old half opened coke, a package of condensed milk, and an old Rolo he found on the floor.

“…. So I’ll be at the grocery store.”

“I wanna come~ I really need to get some food~”

“I was going with the intention of getting you food, so yes, you may come.”

“Shyeah~ It’s not like I was just gonna let you go for me, anyway.” he laughed, getting up and going into the kitchen.

“Did you know your subways systems are terrible? I would have gotten mugged if it weren’t for the fact I found a rather handy knife under my seat.”

“Whaaat? Y’know if you didn’t wanna ride the subway, I would’ve come and got you, right?” he said as though it were obvious.

He looked at him with a stubborn set about his expression.

“I can’t trouble you like that! It was due to my own thoughtlessness I ended up in that situation, so I certainly had to get myself out of it!”

“It wouldn’t have been like any trouble. I was doin’ nothing for three hours.” He laughed, flopping onto his couch.

Arthur shrugged a bit, momentarily questioning his own logic, instead taking a seat beside him on the couch.

Alfred tossed some Monster at the other. “You requested this the other day~ It’s a little late but you can use it next time you decide to randomly text me in the middle of the night.”

Arthur grinned a bit, taking it, putting it in his bags.

“Well thank you. I don’t know how often that will happen, but for the next time.”

Alfred looked at Arthur curiously. “What was that all about, anyway?”

“Waking up?”

He blushed a bit.

“I don’t know I was just feeling rather…. lonely and I woke up much too earlier without being able to fall back asleep.”

“Well that sucks a ton!”
